This event aims to mark two important dates: Luxembourg Diversity Day (13 May) and IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia, 17 May).

The panel seeks to foster awareness and promote inclusive research practices and environments. Through discussions and exchanges, participants will deepen their understanding of the importance of considering gender and sexual diversity in research.

  • Diversity Day is an annual event in Luxembourg, organized for the 12th consecutive year in 2026, inviting all organizations—whether or not they are signatories of the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg—to take action for inclusion and celebrate diversity.
  • IDAHOBIT stands for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the discrimination and challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ communities. In Luxembourg, IDAHOBIT is also celebrated as Diversity Day, highlighting the importance of inclusion and respect for all forms of diversity within society and institutions.

Agenda highlights:

  • What are Diversity and IDAHOBIT days, and why are they significant?
