Dear students,

I have the pleasure to invite you at the conference-debate entitled “The European Union at a Crossroads”, that the Centre Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg together with its partners – Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH)/University of Luxembourg, the Jean Monnet Foundation for Europe (Lausanne), the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, the European Parliament Liaison Office in Luxembourg, the Historical Archives of the European Parliament, the City of Esch-sur-Alzette and the Pierre Werner Institute –  are organizing on 16 May 2024, from 18:00 to 20:00, at the Abbaye de Neumünster, salle José Ensch.

The keynote speaker is Mr Pat Cox, President of the Jean Monnet for Europe Foundation (Lausanne), former President of the European Parliament.

 The event will also include the opening of the multilingual documentary exhibition “Shaping Europe: the story of European elections” created by the Historical Archives of the European Parliament.

 “The European Union at a Crossroads” is part of the 2024 edition of the public event series “Les mois de l’Europe à Esch-sur-Alzette”, organized in Luxembourg from March to June 2024 by Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg and the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, in cooperation with numerous other institutions.
