From September 25 to October 3, Arlon City Hall will serve as the backdrop for a spectacular show combining video mapping, actors, and music. This free event will take the audience on a journey through 2,000 years of history.

Arlon is gearing up for a unique event to mark the start of the school year. From September 25 to October 3, City Hall will host “La Source,” a free, spectacular show featuring video mapping, performers, and sound effects projected onto the building’s facade. Each performance begins at 9 p.m. and lasts about 40 minutes.

Conceived by Tour des Sites Organisation, this narrative performance draws directly on the history of Arlon and its inhabitants. Through giant projections and the presence of actors, the town hall will become a truly living stage, offering a poetic yet contemporary interpretation of the city’s past. The central figure of this production is a mysterious dowser. This character, presented as a witness who has traversed the centuries, will guide the audience through 2,000 years of history, from the Roman founding of Orolaunum to the more recent events that have shaped the city. As the story unfolds, he will follow the “whispers of the water” and the Semois River to bring to light memories buried beneath Arlon’s cobblestones. Accessible to all and completely free, “La Source” promises to transform the facade of City Hall into a massive animated fresco over the course of ten evenings. The event aims to highlight Arlon’s architectural heritage while offering an immersive experience that blends history, technology, and live performance.
