The Giulio Onesti Foundation – Italian National Olympic Academy is pleased to announce the kick-off of the 6th edition of Run for Art, the international photo contest for young photographers that combines art and sport.
The competition is open to young photographers, both professionals and amateurs, aged between 18 and 35.
A new topic “Environment and Sport” – The topic chosen by the committee for Run for Art World’s 6th edition is “Environment and Sport”. The International Olympic Committee defines the environment as the third pillar of Olympism: sport can significantly contribute to protecting the natural environment and enhancing its resources, thanks to the values of respect, education, and sustainability that it promotes. The exceptional nature of the theme will provide ample space for the creativity of photographers, who are called upon to express, through their shots, the values of sport and its connection to art. The term “environment” will be considered in its broadest sense: not only referring to the natural environment but also encompassing the social, urban, and cultural aspects related to sports.
