Summary
What if our food could save the ocean?
That’s the question answered by the documentary “Eating: the power to save the ocean”.
The ocean is the source of life and the stock of oxygen that allows us to breathe. It regulates the climate. It covers 70% of the planet’s surface. The ocean is vital, but it is under threat. We don’t think about it because we can’t see it, but what we eat can have serious consequences for the health of the ocean, those who live in it and those who depend on it. Fortunately, it’s not too late. Solutions exist to preserve the ocean. In France, men and women are already laying the foundations for a more sustainable food supply. Malaury Morin, Alix Anastassiou and Julien Challandes set off to hitchhike the roads of France to meet them.
With “Eating: the power to save the ocean”, you’ll understand the impact of fishing, industrial agriculture, the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers and the transport of goods on the ocean. But above all, you’ll discover practical solutions for eating well while preserving the ocean.
The event is part of the Festival AlimenTERRE.
