Discover how low-tech principles can help us design useful, sustainable, robust and accessible solutions to real-world needs!
What if innovation wasn’t always about making things more complex?
This autumn, Engineers without borders Luxembourg and Ingénieurs sans frontières Belgique are joining forces to host two complementary events exploring how low-tech principles can transform engineering practice.

Low-tech solutions invite us to rethink engineering by focusing on what is truly useful, sustainable, robust and accessible. They encourage us to design technologies that respond to real needs while reducing environmental impact while remaining within everyone’s reach.

What can you expect?

Through collective discussion and real-world case studies, participants will explore how low-tech principles can be incorporated into engineering practice.
Together, participants will reflect on:
    • Technical choices
    • Accessibility
    • Robustness
    • Real-world impact

The workshop is organised with the support of the University of Liège, which is providing the venue. Additional support from the Belgian low-tech partner will be announced.
