Join us for a celebration of science and youth in person!
From September 27th to October 1st, 2023, the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg will proudly host the 13th edition of the Luxembourg International Science Expo – LISE. This event promises an exciting convergence of science and youth.
Over 50 booths will feature young scientists eager to present various innovative research and projects spanning multiple fields, such as engineering, environmental protection, and political science. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with these budding researchers.
This year, we’re thrilled to welcome 67 young participants representing 17 countries from across the globe. They will join us in Luxembourg to showcase their scientific endeavours alongside the National Jonk Fuerscher Contest 2023 winners. This non-competitive international scientific exhibition is designed to foster the exchange of ideas and cultures among participants.
The “Luxembourg International Science Expo” will be open to the public on Friday, the 29th and Saturday 30th of September, from 10 am to 5 pm at the Forum Campus Gesseknäppchen. Besides meeting these young talents and exploring their remarkable projects, visitors will have the opportunity to discover:
- an interactive exhibition about the Luxembourgish Language(s) by the ZLS (Zenter fir d’Lëtzebuerger Sprooch)
- a science comics exhibition by DESCOM (Doctoral Education in Science Communication) from the University of Luxembourg
- an interactive math puzzles exhibit by Prof Hugo Parlier of the University of Luxembourg
- several VR (virtual reality) exhibits (asteroids deflection, beat saber, psychology research, marble runs)
- interactive robotic and digital installations by Luxembourg TechSchool (LTS) and Kids Life Skills
Finally, don’t miss the official closing ceremony on Sunday, October 1st, at 16 pm at le Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg featuring contemporary dance performances by Racines Carrées. You can also watch it live streamed on our YouTube channel: Jonk Fuerscher.
Admission is free, and parking facilities are available in the basement at the Forum Campus Gesseknäppchen and on the Glacis at le Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.
