A rhythm, a memory, a call to unity
Hailing from the West African griotic tradition, Ebrima Djembé is much more than a musician. Through his art, he recounts the struggles, hopes, and resistance of African peoples. His performance will not be just a spectacle: it will be a collective invocation , a connection between generations , and a call to memory and commitment .
By opening BHM 2025 with the deep sound of the djembe, we are choosing orality, emotion, the living link between past and future . This moment will mark the official launch of a month dedicated to invisible stories, struggles for justice, and the celebration of African and Afro-descendant identities.
⇒ Come and join this opening ceremony!
Immerse yourself in a moment of shared energy, culture and solidarity. The presence of Ebrima Djembé will set the tone: a strong, committed and unifying month of October .
