“The Mindful Hand” is the first institutional solo exhibition of Belgian artist Eva L’Hoest. The exhibition brings together a series of new works that explore how analog and digital imaging technologies influence our perception and memory, reshape the concept of landscape, and redefine the boundaries between the hand and the mind.

Eva L’Hoest’s works are always composite, blending manual craftsmanship with digital techniques, where the human gesture merges with the extension of the machine. A series of sculptures revisits ancient lifecasting techniques through the lens of 3D printing, while artificial intelligence and synthetic imagery infiltrate the silver film of a new audiovisual installation. Presented across four screens, the film transports us into empty interior spaces—domestic and institutional, real and artificial—that come to life and take shape through cinematic imagery.

Guided by the words of poet Eva Mancuso, “The Mindful Hand” exhibition questions the ability of digital technologies to redefine language, our mechanisms of desire, and the often invisible tensions between human intention and machine autonomy.
