Are you new to the role of treasurer, or involved in managing the finances of an association and not quite sure where to start?
This practical workshop is mainly aimed at association treasurers and will give you the essential knowledge and tools to manage your association’s accounts with more confidence.
Across 2 workshops, we’ll look at:
- What you need to know about accounting in an association.
- Your key legal obligations, including the changes introduced by the Law of 7 August 2023.
- How to keep your accounting records and journal.
- How to prepare a profit and loss account and balance sheet.
- How to create a budget and keep track of your association’s finances.
- How to file your accounts with the Trade and Companies Register (RCS).
No need to be an accounting expert — the goal is to give you a clear, practical starting point and help you feel more comfortable in your role.
