EUROPEAN ROUTE OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE at the Centre de Documentation sur les Migrations Humaines (CDMH)
This guided tour of the “Quartier Italie” in Dudelange offers a true journey through time.
The district represents an emblematic architectural heritage of migration linked to industrialization. Through its significant places, shared stories and monuments, we will trace the threads of history while remaining connected to the present day, drawing links between local dynamics and the history of migration in Luxembourg, from the Industrial Revolution to today.
Schedule of the day
10:00 AM – Welcome at the Centre de Documentation sur les Migrations Humaines (CDMH), followed by a guided tour of the Quartier Italie.
Lunch break – A moment for sharing and discussion (illustrations, portraits, audio and video reports).
Please bring your sandwich — drinks will be provided.
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Collection of participants’ feedback, completion of the illustrated portraits* and reports.
*Your illustrated portraits will appear in the travel journal European Route of Industrial Heritage.
Each participant will receive a free illustrated journal in which they contributed once it is published at the end of 2026/2027.

ROUTE EUROPEENE DU PATRIMOINE INDUSTRIEL AU CENTRE DE DOCUMENTATION DES MIGRATIONS HUMAINES (CDMH) A DUDELANGE
Cette visite guidée du « Quartier Italie » à Dudelange propose un véritable voyage dans le temps. Ce quartier constitue un patrimoine bâti emblématique des migrations liées à l’industrialisation. À travers ses lieux marquants, ses récits partagés et monuments, nous remonterons le fil de l’histoire tout en restant ancrés dans le présent, en établissant des liens entre les dynamiques locales et l’histoire des migrations au Luxembourg, de la révolution industrielle jusqu’à aujourd’hui.
Déroulée de la journée
10h00 : Accueil au CDMH puis visite guidée au Quartier Italie
Pause déjeuner : moment de partage et d’échange (illustrations, portraits, reportages audios et vidéos) – amener votre sandwich, boisson offerte
13h30 -14h30 : réception des avis, clôture des portraits illustrés* et reportages
*Vos portraits illustrés seront présents dans le carnet de voyage Route Européenne du Patrimoine Industriel
Chaque participant recevra le carnet illustré (gratuit) dans lequel il a participé dès qu’il sera édité fin 2026/2027.
