October 2025 will mark the third edition of Black History Month (BHM) Luxembourg , a cultural and civic event that highlights the stories, struggles and legacies of African and Afro-descendant populations.
This year, BHM 2025 will focus on three main themes :
-
The place of women in conflicts , to give voice to the stories and journeys of those who have fought, cared for, resisted, negotiated – often in the shadow of history.
-
The centenary of emblematic figures of the anti-colonial struggle : Patrice Lumumba, Malcolm X, Frantz Fanon and Félix Moumié , whose ideas remain benchmarks in contemporary struggles.
-
African independence, with a focus on Cape Verde , to rediscover the challenges, hopes and legacies of these political conquests.
All BHM Luxembourg 2025 events will be free and open to everyone thanks to them.
