Sustainable development, an increasingly crucial issue in international debate, calls attention to our planet’s finite nature and the need for global cooperation to secure a safe future for all.

Indigenous peoples have long practiced sustainability, viewing it as an integral part of their cultural identity and their relationship with the environment. Indigenous representatives have played a vital role in international sustainability discussions, notably in the development of the 2030 Agenda, highlighting the significance of indigenous diplomacy in global negotiations. Indigenous Knowledge is a pivotal asset for the effective achievement of sustainable development goals and in building more peaceful and inclusive societies.

Join the UNI.LU Diplomacy Lab for this enlightening conference on the role indigenous communities play on the international level, held in the MSA room 4.530 from 11:30 – 13:30.

This event is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in Luxembourg.
