Dear uni.lu community,
We want to present to you an opportunity to become a potential stem cell donor!
But why become a stem cell donor?
As a stem cell donor, you can potentially save someone’s life who is suffering from Leukemia. So, a leukemia patient can be cured IF there is a match for them in the worldwide database of stem cell donors.
On the 18th October 2022 from 9h00 until 16h00, you will have the possibility to register as a potential stem cell donor. The event is organized in collaboration with Plooschterprojet asbl and will take place on Campus Belval in the Maison des Arts et des Etudiants (MAE), on the first floor, in the rooms 1.010, 1.020, and 1.030.
However, before you register for the event, please see if you fulfill the following conditions:
- Between 18 and 45 years old
- A maximum of 2 pregnancies (miscarriages included)
- Weight more than 50 kg
- Be healthy
- Be a resident of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg or have the Luxembourgish nationality or be a resident of Germany or have the German nationality
- Fill in a health questionnaire
- Provide a blood or saliva sample

You are also free to drop by without registering and listen to the information session before deciding to register as a potential stem cell donor.

Wir präsentieren euch die Gelegenheit um potentieller Stammzellenspender zu werden!
Am 18. Oktober 2022 von 9h00 bis 16h00 habt ihr die Möglichkeit euch als potentieller Stammzellenspender registrieren zu lassen. Diese Veranstaltung ist mit Plooschterprojet asbl organisiert und wird auf dem Campus Belval in der Maison des Arts et des Etudiants (MAE) im ersten Stock in den Räumen 1.010, 1.020, und 1.030 stattfinden.
Bevor ihr euch jedoch für diese Veranstaltung anmelden könnt, müsst ihr gewisse Kriterien erfüllen:
- 18 bis 45 Jahre alt sein
- Maximal 2 Schwangerschaften gehabt haben (einschließlich Fehlgeburten)
- Mehr als 50kg wiegen
- Gesund sein
- Einen festen Wohnsitz in Luxemburg oder die luxemburgische Staatsangehörigkeit haben, bzw. einen festen Wohnsitz in Deutschland oder die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit haben
- Einen Gesundheitsfragebogen ausfüllen
- Eine Blutentnahme oder eine Speichelprobe machen

Sie können auch ohne Registrierung vorbeikommen und sich die Informationsveranstaltung anhören, bevor Sie sich entscheiden, sich als potenzieller Stammzellspender zu registrieren.

Le 18 octobre 2022 de 9h00 à 16h00, vous aurez la possibilité de vous inscrire comme donneur potentiel de cellules souches. L’événement est organisé en collaboration avec Plooschterprojet asbl et aura lieu sur le Campus Belval, dans la Maison des Arts et des Etudiants (MAE), au premier étage, dans les salles 1.010, 1.020 et 1.030.
Toutefois, avant de vous inscrire à l’événement, veuillez vérifier si vous remplissez les conditions suivantes :
- Avoir entre 18 et 45 ans
- Un maximum de 2 grossesses (fausses couches incluses)
- Avoir un poids supérieur à 50 kg
- Être en bonne santé
- Être résident(e) du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg ou avoir la nationalité luxembourgeoise ou être résident(e) d’Allemagne ou avoir la nationalité allemande
- Remplir un questionnaire de santé
- Fournir un échantillon de sang ou de salive
